Kim Soo Hyun will be taking the The Sun and the Moon syndrome to Japan.

On December 8 and 9, Kim Soo Hyun met with fans in Japan through a special shoot and a press conference for The Sun and the Moon.

The drama is scheduled to air on NHK in January.

Ever since the drama first aired on KNTV, a satellite channel, in August, Japan has started to show much interest in Kim Soo Hyun.

At the shoot for a special program held on December 9, Kim Soo Hyun, Han Ga In and Kim Yoo Jung met with lucky fans who were chosen through a lottery and viewed highlights from the drama, later on answering quizzes with the fans together. Kim Soo Hyun especially showed off his dance skills for his fans.

In the press conference held after the shoot, many prominent local press outlets came to cover not only the drama but also Kim Soo Hyun as an actor as well as his future plans. Kim Soo Hyun received favorable reviews for answering all the questions with his bright smile and his kind attitude.

One official said, "I was impressed by how Kim Soo Hyun′s smile never waned and he was never caught off guard. He was also very outgoing during the interviews. As he′s become more known among the Japanese public through such dramas as Giant and Dream High, we believe he will become a new hallyu star loved in Japan through the airing of The Sun and the Moon."

The Sun and the Moon will air a special in Japan on January 13, and then air an episode every Sunday. Kim Soo Hyun is currently filming his next film, set to premiere next year, Be Covert, Be Great.
