Kara has been working intensely with an ultra-tight schedule, living up to its status as the representative hallyu girl group.

Having started with Golden Disk Awards on December 11, the group has been invited to almost all the major year-end events including Best Hit Song Festival, Fuji TV’s FNS Song Festival, Asahi TV’s Music Station Super Live 2011, and NHK’s Red & White Song Battle.

A rep from the group’s agency told enews on December 20 said, “Kara’s year-end schedule is so hectic. This is the busiest year-end time ever.”

Kara’s Goo Hara and Nicole have been serving as MCs for SBS’ Inkigayo as well. Since it is a live show, the two have to go back and forth between Korea and Japan.

The rep said, “Kara’s schedule has been already booked till April. We are feeling the group’s growing popularity both home and abroad.”

Early this year, Kara dealt with a potential disbandment, due to conflicts with its agency, but now the group is arguably stronger than ever. Music industry officials have commented that“if the group had disbanded at that time, it would not be able to enjoy this glorious time now.”
