Big Bang To Resume Activities Next Year
Big Bang will be releasing its new album and resuming its full-fledged activities.
A rep from the group’s agency, YG Entertainment, told enews on December 20, “Big Bang will be resuming activities early next year with the release of its new album.”
Some expect the album to come out in February or March. But another source close to the group cautiously remarked, “The exact date and method of the album release have yet to be determined.”
The group has been gearing up to resume activities since performing at the YG Family Concert on December 4. The concert was the first time all five members performed together in eight months. G-Dragon has reportedly been focusing on writing songs for the group’s new album.
There have been high expectations for the group’s comeback since the YG Family Concert, as it was the first time the members had performed together since Daesung′s car accident and G-Dragon was charged with marijuana use.
On the stage, G-Dragon said, “We’re sorry for causing concern. We’ll make sure such things never happen again.” And notably, he added, “We’ll reward fans with our music,” arousing expectations for their impending activities.
The group will next be seen performing at the YG Family Concert in Japan, which is scheduled to occur in Osaka from January 7-8 and in Saitama from January 21-22.
