Go So Young Understands Jang Dong Gun

My Way, which stars Jang Dong Gun and Joe Odagiri, was filmed in overseas locations such as Russia and Latvia for nine months since November 2010. It’s natural for actors to participate in such shoots, but for a newlywed with a one year old son (Min Jun), it wasn’t easy.

Jang added, “Because she was an actress, she understands that I have to travel out on shoots. She doesn’t nag me, but she’s just often upset.”

After wrapping for My Way, Jang was immediately cast in director Huh Jun Ho’s Dangerous Liaisons, a film which was set to be filmed in China. As such, he plans to leave home again soon, leaving his son and his wife behind.

“I think Min Jun is just getting to learn about his mom and his dad,” Jang said. “Fortunately, he recognizes his dad (Laugh). After I wrap this shoot, I’m planning to spend time with my child and my wife.”

My Way, which stars Jang Dong Gun, Joe Odagiri and Fan Bing Bing, is a story of friendship which blossoms between a Joseon marathoner and a Japanese marathoner in dire times. The film is due to premiere on December 22.
