Jang Keun Suk showed off his extraordinary affection for his fans at an open shooting event for Love Rain which was held on December 13 in Daegu.

The venue was packed with more than two hundreds of reporters and fans. Jang Keun Suk and his co-stars, Yoona, Seo In Guk, Hwang Bo Ra, Kim Si Hoo and Son Eun Seo along with director Yoon Suk Ho met their fans. Most of the fans were from Jang Keun Suk’s fan club, named ′Jangeo (eels)’.

The actor expressed his gratitude for his fans by handing out lunch boxes with rice balls and fruits. During the event, he kept winking and blowing kisses to his fans.

Yoona expressed her surprise at Jang Keun Suk’s regard for fans by saying, “Keun Suk oppa(older brother) is really great. He approached and talked to other actors’ fans as well as his own fans without reserve. I was surprised to see him doing that, because I’ve never tried to do that. Because I’m so shy, I can’t bring myself to approach those fans who came from far away, but Keun Suk talks to them without hesitation. I thought I should try communicating with them like that, too."

To this, Jang Keun Suk responded in his witty manner, saying that he’s “a real fan” of Yoona. He remarked, " I secretly put coffee in Yoona’s car so that my partner can be in top shape. The reason I keep talking with the fans of other actors is because I want to make them my Jangeos."

Even though some try to underestimate his donation and generosity, calling him a ‘show-off,’ Jang Keun Suk has lived up to his nickname, ‘Prince of Asia.’ He donated 1.2 billion won to his school, Hanyang University, and donated a significant sum to the victims of the massive earthquake in Japan.

A source close to Jang Keun Suk said, “He really likes to communicate with fans in person, so he usually signs autographs for fans or poses with them to take pictures on the set to express his gratitude.”

Meanwhile, Love Rain is a melodrama that transcends time and generation: In the 70s, the college student In Ha (Jang Keun Suk) and Yun Hee (Yoona) fall in love at the music coffee shop Serabi, and in 2012, their sons and daughters, Seo Joon (Jang Keun Suk) and Ha Na (Yoona) meet and develop feelings for each other. The shooting will last until next spring before it premieres in May.
