While they’re considered late bloomers in the variety show world, Gary and Gil have been the resident bad boys of the rap game since they made their debut as members of Honey Family in 1999 then LeeSsang in 2002 and the obvious choice for the Monster MCs category of our Hot 11 of 2011 list.

The boys proved that gaining mainstream recognition, from topping Billboard’s K-Pop Chart and hit Turned Off the TV being named MelOn’s Most Popular Song of the Year, doesn’t mean ‘selling out’ as the tracks on their latest album AsuRa BalBalTa maintain the honest and raw depth that is signature to LeeSsang’s previous releases.

Another sign you’ve hit it big in Korea? Having netizens dig up dirt from your past. But the skeletons in LeeSsang’s closet are pretty harmless. Hilarious, actually.

Thanks to some Internet-savvy netizens, fans were treated to some interesting photos of the bad boys’ younger days and informed that the rappers made a cameo appearance in 2008 film Dachiwama Lee. If you missed them in the film, look no further than the screen caps to discover that Gary and Gil are indeed movie stars.
