JYP’s out to get new recruits for its next Wonder Girls or 2PM, so fresh new JYP faces may be just around the corner.

A rep from JYP Entertainment told enews on December 12, “JYP Entertainment will be holding auditions across the country in search of new JYP family and soon-to-be global stars. We’ve started receiving online applications since December 5, and we’re waiting for many talented students across the nation to participate.”

Contestants can apply to participate in JYP’s 9th official auditions through the portal website Daum. The application process involves filling out an application form and attaching a video of what contestants think they can do best. The preliminaries will take place in six cities across the nation.

The final rounds will take place in February 2012, and winners who come in first, second or third place, or receive the Hum Star Award, will be given the chance to become JYP trainees. The winner of the Hum Star Award will also be able to model for the clothing brand Hum for a year, and the recipient of the Seoul Art Technical College Dean Award will be given a one-year scholarship if he or she enters the Seoul Art Technical College.

The JYP rep said about the auditions, “There are currently many idol stars in the K-Pop scene who have passed through the official JYP auditions. We’ll work hard to uncover hidden talents across the nation, and we await the courageous applications of many outstanding individuals.”
