Hyoyeon and Jessica Nearly Got Into a Fistfight
Thought the girls of Girls′ Generation only knew how to sing, dance and smile? Evidently not. On the December 8 broadcast of Mnet′s Beatles Code, the girls opened up about the times they squabbled and got jealous of each other.
When asked if they got into fights, Hyoyeon candidly answered, “I recently fought with Jessica.” Hyoyeon said that they started to fight when she gave Jessica a piece of her mind.
Jessica responded, “The fighting started when we were in the car. When we came back to our dorm, the fight got serious enough that we were at the point of almost exchanging blows.” At this point, Tiffany recalled, “It was really scary watching them fight. I even held Hyoyeon back from behind.”
But all ended well - the two admitted to rushing into their rooms in tears, only to exit and make up with one another...in tears. A lot of crying went down that day, but who was left the most unsatisfied? Sooyoung, who didn′t get to see all the "fun" action go down.
Meanwhile, Hyoyeon also opened up about the time when she got jealous of the other members in the group’s early days.
She said, “When we just debuted, I wasn’t given pretty clothes so I thought I wanted to wear pretty clothes like the other members. But now I changed my mind to ‘Just believe in stylists.’”
To this, Sooyoung also said, “I also felt bad when I had to wear pants even though I wanted to wear skirts.” “But I’m satisfied when I think about the harmony as the entire group,” she added.
About her new style in The Boys, Hyoyeon expressed her satisfaction, “In the early days, I showed an image different from my true side. While I liked powerful dances, Girls’ Generation at that time had a cheerful girlish image. But I feel like the song and dance style [of The Boys] is exactly mine."
