Ever since JYJ’s Park Yoo Chun caught the acting bug, he’s been busily starring in drama after drama, most recently taking on the lead role in new MBC drama I Miss You, but let us not forget about his musical roots.

Park Yoo Chun made his debut with TVXQ (DBSK) in 2003 but is currently active as a member of the highly successful group JYJ along with Kim Jae Joong and Kim Junsu.

[Star of the Week] JYJ Park Yoo Chun’s Best Music Moments

With Park Yoo Chun being in the limelight for his acting these days, we quite missed his listening to his music, so we’ve rounded up a few of our favorite music moments to share with you all.

TVXQ’s Hug

We had a hard time deciding between TVXQ’s Hug and My Little Princess to kick off our walk down memory lane, but with lyrics like “I want to be the bed in your room if only for a day” (Oh, baby) and “I want to be the diary in your little drawer,” the decision practically made itself.

We understand the TVXQ-JYJ ordeal is still a sensitive topic for fans, but to ignore Park Yoo Chun’s time in the idol group would be to neglect a huge chunk of his musical history.

So let’s put the drama aside for a moment and bask in the glory that is throwback TVXQ.

TVXQ performs O Holy Night with BoA

Since we’ve already hit rewind, let’s go back a little further to another memorable moment in K-Pop history.

Not many idol groups can say they stood on the same stage as Britney Spears, much less say they made their debut on that stage.

But remember when TVXQ sang O Holy Night with BoA at her showcase with Britney Spears? Random, maybe, but yes, that actually happened.

The following clip not only melts our little K-Pop fan girl hearts, it makes us want to curl up in a warm fleece blanket with a cup of hot chocolate.

JYJ performs Ayyy Girl on Billboard

Now, let’s fast forward a few years to 2010. By this time, Kim Jae Joong, Park Yoo Chun and Kim Junsu had left the TVXQ nest and were preparing to take on America as JYJ with its English album The Beginning.

Not only did JYJ enlist the help of Kanye West for its debut global track Ayyy Girl, the boys were invited to perform the all-English song on Billboard.

Check out the boys’ English skills below!

JYJ’s Get Out

Finally, we can’t forget about Get Out from JYJ’s first album In Heaven.

Flashy cars, a dramatic narration, courtesy of Park Yoo Chun, and boys in combat boots - what is there not to love about the music video? Okay, maybe the two-timing girlfriend.

What were some of your favorite moments?

We’re happy to be able to see Park Yoo Chun on TV twice a week, but we’re definitely keeping our fingers crossed for a new JYJ album!
