Busy Guy Psy Shoots Korean Beer Commercial in New York
In between television show appearances, guest lectures and meeting just about everyone in the world, Psy is managing to squeeze in shooting for commercial advertisements even when he’s abroad.
While in New York recently, Psy hit up the Cedar Lake Theater in New York’s Chelsea, where he and some 300 extras filmed for the Korean beer brand Hite.
Though standard procedure is for even the most biggest stars to shoot their Korean commercials in Korea, due to Psy’s extremely busy schedule, Hite sent out a crew and hired locals to play the extras for its new commercial.
The commercial called for the extras to jump and join Psy in doing the horse ride dance at his appearance, but the response from the locals was so passionate, the cast shared the commercial set seemed more like a concert than a shoot as Psy guzzled real Hite beer (and not non-alcohol imitations) and fired up the crowd, even shooting beer into the frenzied crowd at one point.
The commercials will begin airing in October in Korea.
Psy was also recently selected to be the spokesmodel for soju brand, Chamiseul.
