In addition to the group’s advancement into the American market having been decided abruptly and the girls not having a lot of time to record the album, the young singer faced difficulties in learning the language and adjusting to the culture.

Sohee revealed the hardships she went through, having to rerecord the album numerous times not only because of issues with pitch, rhythm and emotions but because of one English word as well.

“After painstakingly wrapping up the recording, we gathered American students in their teens to listen to the songs and checked off every word they said they couldn’t hear and went back to rerecord the songs,” revealed Sohee.

However, this was difficult for Sohee, who was really young at the time, to bear. She said, “I cried a lot thinking ‘Why do I have to get in trouble here when there’s a language I can speak comfortably.’”

The episode of Story Show Do Dream featuring Sohee will air on December 10.
