Despite its title, it seems KBS’ Invincible Youth 2 wasn’t quite so invincible.

The idol-starring reality variety show has been cancelled by KBS with the final shoot to take place on November 7.

The new season of the show kicked off exactly a year ago in November, 2011 which took a group comprised of various girl group idol members to experience life in a rural farming town.

The show added Lee Young Ja as an MC in July to try and bring up its ratings but despite receiving a favorable response to her addition, the show continued to receive tepid ratings.

The low viewership, high production costs and increasingly busy schedule of the members all led to a decision being made to cancel the show.

The final episode will air on November 17.
