Looks like we′ll be seeing more of the adorable Jung Il Woo, as he′ll be joining the cast of MBC’s upcoming drama, The Sun and The Moon, which will be the actor’s second historical drama after MBC’s The Return of Iljimae in 2009.

A representative from Jung’s agency, Fantagio, told enews on December 6 over the phone, “Jung Il Woo chose The Sun and The Moon as the follow-up to Cool Guys, Hot Ramen. He was one of the candidates for the male lead in the first place, and he has been looking into the drama’s synopsis positively.”

The rep continued, “As the drama’s production company thought Jung favorably, we’ve decided to take the role recently. Due to the shooting schedule for Cool Guys, Hot Ramen, Jung has yet to have talks with the upcoming drama’s director, but he is planning to meet him this week and set up detailed plans including what to wear and so on.

The Sun and The Moon is a historical fusion fantasy that follows a love story between Yeon Woo(Han Ga In), a woman who was chosen as the Crown Princess but became a shaman after losing her memory, and King Lee Hwon (Kim Soo Hyun). Jung will be playing a role of Lee Hwon’s step-brother who also loves Yeon Woo. The drama is set to premiere on January 4.
