‘Superstar K4’s Jung Joon Young & Roy Kim Storm to the Top of the Billboard K-Pop Hot 100

Though yet to have made their official debut as singers, Superstar K4 contestants Jung Joon Young and Roy Kim can now brag they’ve placed first on the Billboard K-Pop Hot 100 before.

According to Billboard’s latest chart ranking for the week of November 3, 2012, the two popular contestants of Mnet’s singing competition show nabbed the coveted number one spot on this weeks’ Billboard K-Pop Hot 100 to best a slew of established and veteran singers.

Jung Joon Young and Roy Kim’s After Turning Into Dust (Becoming Dust), a remake of the popular song by Kim Gwang Suk, placed first for the week beating out K.Will’s Please Don’t which stayed in second for another week.

Ailee’s I Will Show You, meanwhile, made a huge leap from last week’s 41st place to third and was followed behind by miss A’s I Don’t Need a Man.

Dropping a few notches from last week’s number one spot was Epik High’s It’s Cold featuring Lee Hi, in fifth while another Epik High track, Up featuring Park Bom of 2NE1, made its debut in the top ten in eighth.

Bloom by Gain took sixth and was followed by another Superstar K4 contestant - Yoo Seung Woo - who took seventh with My Son, a remake of Kim Gun Mo’s song.

Lee Jung’s Malri Flower which first gained notoriety from his performance on MBC’s I Am a Singer 2 took the ninth spot while Block B made its debut in the top ten by rounding out the tenth spot with Nillili Mambo.
