Noh Hee Kyung Says, “I had little interest in Jung Woo Sung.”
Noh Hee Kyung, writer of general service channel jTBC’s upcoming drama, Padam Padam Padam...The Sound of His and Her Heartbeats, said she used to have little interest in Jung Wook Sung, the male lead of the drama.
The writer attended a press conference for the drama, which was held on November 30 in Seoul, along with director Kim Gyu Tae and main cast members including Jung Woo Sung, Han Ji Min, Kim Bum, Choi Tae Jun, Kim Min Kyeong and Lee Jae Woo.
When a reporter asked Noh how she felt when she first saw Jung Woo Sung, she answered, “Sorry to say this, but I had little interest in him. Before I met him in person, all I thought about him was that he was a handsome actor who brightens your mood, and that’s all.”
Noh continued, “But after I met him in person, I changed my mind. I even told him at our first encounter, ‘It must have been difficult for you to live, hiding [your true side].’ It occurred me that ‘He is a genuine actor’ at that time” “I realized through this drama he was not just an actor with good looks. I’m amused to watch the character Yang Gang Chil myself, and viewers might feel pleased to watch Jung Woo Sung.”
On the title of the drama, she said, “I titled it‘Padam Padam’ in order to express heartbeat and excitement. I thought about many other options including ‘Pit-a-Pat’, but I went for ‘Padam Padam’ after listening to a classic French song with the same title.”
Padam Padam attracted attention as it is Jung’s comeback drama and Noh’s first fantasy piece. The well-known writer and the famous actor who have been working in the industry for a long time came to meet each other for the first time at this drama.
Padam Padam covers a love story between a man whose life is riddled with a sad irony and a woman who retains inner wounds. The drama starring Han Ji Min, Kim Bum as well as Jung Woo Sung will premiere on December 5.
