Kim Kyung Ho Speaks Of His First Low Rank on ‘I Am a Singer’
Kim Kyung Ho left a post on his official webpage after the recent broadcast of I Am a Singer.
In the first competition of the 10th round on MBC’s I Am a Singer, aired on November 27, Kim Kyung Ho chose to sing the late Seo Ji Won’s Gather My Tears. Although Kim sang the sad song perfectly with his sweet voice, he made a mistake with the lyrics, disappointing many who were looking forward to a perfect stage.
Later on, Kim evaluated himself in his post, saying, “You weren’t disappointed after watching the broadcast, were you? I wanted to express the feelings contained in this masterpiece for the young generation who don’t really know Seo Ji Won, but I didn’t do well enough to arouse sympathy from all.”
He added, “In ballads, the feeling of the lyrics and every breath need to be performed in a stable way, but I was lacking in sensitivity. I was still happy to come in fifth.”
“So tomorrow’s the midterm evaluations,” Kim commented. “I’m happy to be able to sing a new song for you every week, and I’ll work hard to prepare a stage for which I’ll have no regrets. Please don’t be disappointed at today’s results, and let’s all go back to when we were all happy and thankful I would be appearing on I Am a Singer.”
He wrapped up the post by thanking his fans, saying, “I’ll only concentrate on my song and my music no matter what results I get. Please cheer for me again. I’ll work hard so that I won’t disappoint you. […] I’m always proud and energized by the fact that you’re by my side. I love you from the bottom of my heart.”
For the day’s competition, Jaurim sang Love and Peace’s I Can’t Say, Gummy sang the late Kim Hyun Sik’s Like Rain, Like Music, Insooni sang Kim Don Gyu’s My Own Sadness and Bobby Kim sang Love and Peace’s We Haven’t Met for a While. Yoon Min Su came in first with Add4’s Woman In the Rain, and the newcomer Jeok Woo nailed second with Yoon Shin Ae’s Passionate Love.
