After confessing on national TV that she is currently in a relationship, Wonder Girls’ member Sun has updated fans with more information about her boyfriend, revealing that he is a missionary.

Since Sun’s appearance on SBS’ Strong Heart, where she made the shocking confession, there has been much speculation surrounding the identity of her boyfriend, and photos of the girl group member with a mystery man surfaced on the Internet.

On November 25, Sun took to the Wonder Girls’ fan café to personally address the speculations. She wrote, “A few months ago, I went on a mission trip to Haiti. I had always dreamed of going on one, and I think I was really nervous and had high expectations going to Haiti for my first mission trip.”

Then, she touched on the topic of how she met her boyfriend, writing, “That’s how I met that person, in the most unlikeliest of places. He is a missionary who was living with the Haitian people and doing missions work.” She continued, “The photo strangely floating around the Internet right now is one of the photos taken on my last night in Haiti with the missions team wearing group T-shirts.”

“I have no desire to be dishonest,” she added. “I had no idea that my surprising story would garner this much interest after it was revealed or that the photo would surface so quickly. You all are truly fast.”

Sun concluded, “Still, I’m really happy and thankful that there are so many people who are congratulating me. As I mentioned in the broadcast, he works in a completely different field than I do, so I’d appreciate it if you could understand that this is all I can share at this time.”
