Chae Si Ra shared her thoughts on her upcoming drama, jTBC’s Queen Insoo, at the press conference for the drama, which was held on November 24 in Seoul.

When asked how the drama differed from other historical dramas, Chae answered, “I think this Queen Insoo might have am ore modern feel since its director, Lee Tae Gon, has produced contemporary dramas.”

The actress continued, “I anticipate it will be depicted in a way that is suitable for today, unlike dramas produced by directors who have only worked on traditional dramas.”

Chae took on the role of Queen Insoo for the second time as she played the same role in KBS1’s King and Queen in 1998.

When asked what would be different between her portrayal of Queen Insoo in 1998 and her take on Queen Insoo in 2011, she replied, “In this drama, the feminine side of Queen Insoo will be highlighted.”

She continued, “I think Queen Insoo will be portrayed in a more suitable way for today. In particular, in the previous drama, Queen Insoo’s love story was not dealt with, but this time she will be depicted in a beautiful and pretty love story.”

Regarding Ham Eun Jung, who is playing the young Queen Insoo, Chae said, “The role and its expressions and dialogue features a new-generation woman, which Ham Eun Jung fits well.”

“I think viewers might become curious as to how the cute young Insoo will change over the time,” added Chae.

And on Baek Sung Hyun, who will be playing the young role of Queen Insoo′s husband, she said, “I became a fan of Baek Sung Hyun when he acted as the child Jang Bo Go in KBS’ drama Emperor of the Sea. There were no scenes in which I acted with him, but the drama shined more thanks to his excellent acting.”

“I’m thankful that he took on a good role in this drama again, and I expect him to lead the beginning of the drama well," she added.
