Super Junior, miss A, Hyuna, Koda Kumi to Attend MAMA
More hallyu stars hitting up Singapore? We’ve just learned of another batch of top artists heading to the 2011 Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA), and they’re just getting bigger and better.
Add Super Junior, miss A, B2ST and Hyuna (4minute) to the list of K-Pop stars who’ll be gracing the Singapore Indoor Stadium, but don’t get too excited yet – Mnet’s also bringing in some of the best-known stars outside of Korea as well.
Lang Lang, China’s genius concert pianist, Koda Kumi, one of the top female Japanese singers, Jang Zhang Liang Ying, better known as the Mariah Carey of China and Singapore’s pop star Dick Lee will also be hitting up the Awards.
Organizers of MAMA said, “We strongly believe that MAMA has come one step closer in realizing its dream of becoming Asia’s leading music awards now that world famous hip hop artists will.i.am and apl.de.ap as well as top Asian artists 2NE1, Girls’ Generation, Super Junior, Lang Lang and many more have confirmed to join. The Awards will be introducing a variety of music genres ranging from classic to dance and hip hop. As such, we guarantee that this year’s show will be the culmination of each artist’s greatest talents. Furthermore, it will serve as a platform for thriving exchange of music.”

The Awards will star with a red carpet ceremony from 5pm to 7pm followed by the main event from 7pm to 11pm. The six hour show will be covered live from Singapore on Mnet, and can also be seen on various digital platforms.
