TVXQ Was Overly Confident and Arrogant in Japan
Although TVXQ (DBSK) is considered one of the top K-Pop male groups in both Korea and Japan now, it wasn’t an easy ascent in Japan as the two members have revealed.
The DBSK members recently taped their much-anticipated appearance on the KBS talk show, Two Dreams as part of their promotions for their new album, Catch Me.
Reflecting on their modest beginnings in Japan, the DBSK members revealed they were overly-confident and even arrogant when they initially made their debut in Japan after reaching a pinnacle in success and popularity in Korea.
But the hard reality was that a male group from Korea had never before succeeded in Japan, which meant the top stars in Korea had to make a humble beginning in Japan even holding their first stage at a small venue with about 100 people in attendance.
Though humbled by the experience, DBSK worked hard to gradually work itself up and eventually even performing a sold-out concert at the Tokyo Dome.
The story and more will be revealed in the October 6 episode of the show.
