Comedian Kim Kyung Min Talks about Rumored Assault on His Wife
Kim Kyung Min, the comedian revealed to be the one who had attacked his wife on Chuseok Day, opened up on the incident.
The October 3 broadcast of SBS′ One Night of TV Entertainment sat down to an interview with the Kim Kyung Min and Lee In Hui couple.
Kim Kyung Min revealed that he and his family had been put under much psychological and physical harm, and that he had filed lawsuits against the reporter who wrote up an exaggerated version of the actual events, the media outlet that first published news on the issue and those who spread the news.
His wife Lee In Hui said, "I′ve never been hit by my husband, and I′ve never been strangled. It is true that we quarrelled and we did fight fiercely, but the article talked about something completely different. We did do embarrassing things and make mistakes, but we wanted to make clear what is and what′s not true."
Kim Kyung Min added, "We started fighting over what to eat, and I cursed at my wife although I shouldn′t have."
Lee In Hui said, "We were so angry that we even came to call the police. We made a mistake when we called the police in the first place."
She said that she is suffering from malicious comments being left regarding the incident, and said, "My husband is a well-known figure, and the fact that I called the police may seem immature in the eyes of others. I wanted to teach my stubborn husband a lesson. I wanted to fix his stubbornness once and for all since I wasn′t able to do it alone."
Kim Kyung Min finished, "If we release corrections about those reports that aren′t true, they stop clinging to you. Though we laugh now, we′re having a hard time. Please help us raise our child well."
