Recently NHK TV’s Enthusiastic! Stardium, a Japanese entertainment show, covered all there is to know about IU. K-Pop navigator and Korean wave expert Furie chose IU as the singer he has his eyes fixed on, saying, “She is young but she has great vocal skills.”

The show played the music video of IU’s biggest hit Good Day, and continued to read through her profile. It covered how she failed in many auditions but finally made her debut when she was in ninth grade, and is now so popular she is being called the ‘Nation’s little sister’.

A Japanese fan, who majors in voice performance, said, “I wasn’t interested in IU but I became a fan after I heard her three-step high notes. I tried a few times but I couldn’t sing it at all. I really respect her.”

A male fan talked of the IU frenzy in Japan, saying, “Even those who weren’t interested in K-Pop have become abnormally obsessed with IU after hearing Good Day. I’m one of them.” The MC also said, “I think I’m going to become one too.”

IU’s agency will be releasing her Japan promotion album IU through EMI Music Japan on December 14. The album will include a CD and a DVD, with six Korean tracks: Good Day, Nagging, Rain Drop, Lost Child, The Story Only I Didn′t Know and Last Fantasy.
