Rainbow Rose is a melodrama covering a campus love story involving the three leads. The drama will be filmed in advance for three months, to be aired on TV Tokyo next spring. The drama will come to Korean audiences sometime in April or May through Korean general service channels.

An official for the drama stated, “Kara and Supernova are leading the Korean wave, and because their members Kang Ji Young and Park Geon Il have experience in acting, they were the first on our list. We brought in rookie Baek Min Hyun, who appeared as a rich boy in While You Were Sleeping, as our last member. If the drama receives favorable reviews, we plan to produce another season next fall.”

Kang Ji Young has been chosen to emcee for KBS2’s Invincible Youth, Season 2, and Baek Min Hyun is next in line to becoming the rising star of the Korean wave as he is receiving many offers from various Japanese agencies. Park Geon Il previously made an appearance in the KBS1 drama King Geunchogo.
