Like the poster for The Bangja Chronicles?

Thank actress Lee Eun Woo, who swung for over four hours just for that one perfect shot.

Channel CGV’s The Bangja Chronicles became a big issue even before its first episode aired on November 5, because it was a drama adaptation of the 3 million-record film The Servant.

Now that the drama has begun, the poster of The Bangja Chronicles is suddenly making new issues. The poster of a swinging Chun Hyang, in which the inside of Chun Hyang’s skirt can be seen, created a slight scandal when first released - because we all know Korea likes to make a fuss over anything slightly provocative.

The producers of The Bangja Chronicles told enews, “Lee Eun Woo, who plays Chun Hyang, had to swing herself for the poster shoot. She worked hard for four hours on the swing to get beautiful scenes.”

“The photos were taken at a set in Gyeonggi-do Namyang-ju. On that day it was very cold because it was drizzling, but still she swung herself high in the sky only wearing a one layer jeogori (traditional hanbok jacket) and a skirt, bringing the staff and producers to clap for her,” they added.

The Bangja Chronicles is Channel CGV’s second original TV movie this year (following Girl K). Just like the film version, its base is in the shocking and imprudent love story of Bangja, Chun Hyang and Mong Ryong, only with stronger characters and more scandalous incidents.

The characters have been recreated to be more modern and true to their own desires, and their emotions and conflicts will be drawn out in a more detailed way in a stronger romance.

The Bangja Chronicles was directed by Bong Man Dae of The Sweet Sex and Love and written by Jun Chul Hong of Crying Fist. Lee Sun Ho took on the role of Bangja, a man who dreams of a romantic love, and Yeo Hyeon Soo became Mong Ryong, who looks okay on the outside but is actually somewhat rude.

Lee Eun Woo became Chun Hyang, the woman divided between the two men, and Min Ji Hyun took on the role of Hyang Dan, who single-mindedly aims for a better social status, saying that she will live as a concubine if she has to. The next episode will air on November 19.
