Big Bang Tops Favorite Korean Singer Poll in Japan

Even after all those mishaps, Big Bang is still clearly popular in Japan.

Big Bang grabbed the no. 1 spot on the ‘My favorite hallyu star’ poll, published in the most recent edition of Japan’s TV Guide. A total of 1000 Japanese fans voted in the poll.

Big Bang not only came in first for ‘My favorite artist’, but the group members also ranked highly on many other polls with themes ranging from song, dance, Japanese and looks to styles.

Taeyang and Daesung came in first and second for ‘the most skilled singer’. Taeyang ranked second for ‘the singer who can dance’, and Seungri was also no. 2 for ‘the singer who is fluent in Japanese’.

Top and G-Dragon nailed no. 2 and 3 in the ‘good looking singer’ poll, and G-Dragon proved he was a true fashionista by topping the ‘singer with best style’ poll.

Netizens who saw the results of the polls said, “The Japanese are still showing an unwavering love for Big Bang,” “This is a famous magazine, that’s great,” and “Congratulations, Big Bang.”

Big Bang recently also made issues for being the first Korean artist to be awarded the Worldwide Act Award at the 2011 MTV EMA
