Wonder Girls Goes for Variety
Wonder Girls certainly has its mind set on regaining its ‘wonder’ status, by appearing on a string of popular variety shows.
The group went on a Guerilla Date on November 8 for the section on KBS2’s Entertainment Relay, and the group will also be shooting MBC’s Radio Star on November 9 and SBS’s Strong Heart on November 10.
Even while they’re busy practicing for their comeback performance on November 11, the members will be actively promoting on variety shows every day. For its previous promotion activities, the group refrained from appearing on programs other than music shows, but this time, for its second studio album, the members are showing an unusual preference for variety show appearances.
This new road was made possible because the Wonder Girls members wished to appear on all the programs available to them, as they didn’t have such chances to communicate with their fans during the two years they were in America.
In a recent interview with enews, Yenny even said, “I want to get as close as I can get to the Korean public. Our agency is concerned because we’re so bad on variety shows, but we plan to appear in as many programs as possible.” She added, “I want to talk sincerely about our American promotion and what went on when we were filming our TV movie in America.”
Sun also stated, “Our schedule is already full of variety shows. After we decided to appear on variety when we made our comeback, we’ve been monitoring many different programs.”
Wonder Girls will reveal its performance for its first single cut Be My Baby on KBS2’s Music Bank on November 11, followed by performances on MBC’s Show! Music Core on November 12 and SBS’s Inkigayo on November 13.
