After School’s new look in Japan is making issues all over the internet.

Recently, a netizen posted on an online community the CD cover photo of After School’s second Japan single, Diva.

The photos, originally revealed on the group’s official Japanese webpage, show the eight members in leather bodices, pink lace skirts and black ribbons around their legs, which all outline the members’ beautiful bodies

The animation character look contrasts greatly from the training suit concept the group showed off when it was promoting the song in Korea.

Netizens who saw the photo showed a wide range of reactions, from “They have great bodies; why did they Photoshop the picture? It’s too much” and “Why did Diva change like this,” to “They’re like animation characters.”

Controversy aside, After School will be performing on November 12 at the Girls Award 2011, to be held in Tokyo.
