T-ara Still on Schedule; New Album to be Released on September 3
T-ara won’t be stopping despite the controversy, as it plans to release its album on schedule on September 3.
Core Contents Media said through a press release on August 30, “[The group] will be releasing its seventh mini album Mirage on September 3.”
The promotional single for Mirage is titled Sexy Love and is the fourth collaboration for the group between Shinsadong Tiger and Choi Gyu Sung, who wrote Bo Peep Bo Peep, Roly Poly and Lovey Dovey.
The album was originally to be released in early August, but it was pushed back about three weeks due to the controversy surrounding member Hwa Young’s outcast rumors.
A rep from Core Contents Media said about the comeback, “Hwa Young made it clear through her Twitter after T-ara member Eun Jung was made to leave her drama that the outcast rumors weren’t true. T-ara stayed quiet for a month thinking that the incident was a private matter between the members, but misunderstandings gave birth to misunderstandings and so the members apologized themselves for causing such a controversy and misunderstandings.”
The rep added, “The matter between Hwa Young and T-ara has been revealed not to be an outcast issue, but an incident that happened out of personal misunderstandings, and Hwa Young and T-ara have come together to understand each other and apologize.”
“We decided to push on with the comeback because we couldn’t postpone it any longer due to this incident which had no perpetrator and no victim, just misunderstanding upon misunderstanding.”
With the release of its album, T-ara plans to tour Hong Kong, Malaysia, Indonesia and Japan for concerts and album releases from September 15 until November.
The rep finished, “We bow down in apology again at how we caused such misunderstanding and strife among so many people, and we promise we’ll take great care not to cause such misunderstandings again.”
