Jinusean to Perform Together for the First Time in Four Years
Hip hop duo and founding members of YG Entertainment Jinusean will stand on stage for the first time in four years since the YG One Concert in 2007.
Jinusean will perform at the 15th anniversary YG Family concert to be held at the Olympic Gymnasium in Seoul in December.
Since stepping out of the limelight, the members have taken on a more behind-the-scenes role, supporting the junior singers at YG Entertainment. Not only is the YG Family concert a particularly special event this year, 2012 marks Jinusean’s 15th anniversary since debuting with songs Gasoline and Tell Me in 1997. Se7en, Big Bang and 2NE1 personally asked the duo to take part in the exciting show.
Jinusean did not originally accept the junior singers’ request. In fact, rumor has it YG’s head, Yang Hyun Suk, had to step in and convince the duo.
“As hard as it was to persuade Jinusean, this concert may really be Jinusean’s last stage,” said a YG representative on November 1 in an interview with enews. “We are looking forward to their special performance with the junior singers as the older brothers of YG.”
The 15th anniversary concert will be held from December to January in Korea and Japan, and the large-scale event is expected to draw out 200,000 fans.
