Though Jung Il Woo′s already gotten half of Korea to fall in love with him, he′s pretty much set for Asia-domination-through-cuteness with his new role in tvN′s Cool Guys, Hot Ramen.

On the drama’s first episode aired on October 31, he caught viewers’ eyes with his vivid and comical portrayal of Cha Chi Soo, changing his image seamlessly from lame New Yorker to a good-for-nothing loser to a high schooler driving a sports car.

In particular, the scene where Cha and Kang Eun Bi (Lee Chung Ah) first met each other drew attention. Cha, who was on the run from his father’s bodyguards because he was found to have sneakily returned home from the States where he was studying, hid into a public restroom, where he encountered Kang.

To stop her from screaming, he pretended to kiss her. The scene went viral online, earning nickname of ‘1mm-kiss scene’as...their lips never actually touched.

After the first episode was over, the drama’s viewer boards and online community sites were crammed with favorable responses from fans. They reacted by saying, “The first episode was already so funny. Likely to be big hit." “Jung Il Woo has risen as king of romantic comedy." A netizen wrote, “Jung Il Woo was the best. This is my first time looking forward to tomorrow. I can’t wait to see the next episode.”

A fan wrote, “I was so hooked on the drama that I lost track of time. Jung Il Woo acted so naturally, drifting from a prickly guy to a comical boy. I’m looking forward to tomorrow’s episode.”

Cool Guys, Hot Ramen is a romantic comedy following a love triangle among Yang Eun Bi (Lee Chung Ah) who runs a ramen place and a rich boy, Cha Chi Soo (Jung Il Woo) and genius chef, Choi Kang Hyeok (Lee Ki Woo).
