Want to know who won Superstar K3? You′re going to have to wait just a tad bit longer for that, but tvN’s entertainment news program enews revealed the results of a nationwide mock poll for the winner of Mnet’s Superstar K3 on October 31.

The poll compiled data collected from Seoul and Korea’s six metropolitan cities, Incheon, Daejeon, Daegu, Busan, Gwangju and Ulsan, asking participants from the cities to pick who they thought would be the final winner of Superstar K3.

Who Won the ‘Superstar K3’ Nationwide Mock Poll?

As it turned out, the four member vocalist group Ulala Session won in the poll with 46.5% of the votes. The group took away the most votes in Seoul and Incheon, and also proved it was popular in Ulsan and Busan. Incheon yielded 63.3% of its votes to the group.

Two Months followed Ulala Session with 30.7%, playing a tight game with Ulala Session in Daegu and Daejeon.

Busker Busker came in last, despite that the recent pre-broadcast internet poll, which takes place every week on the Superstar K3 official webpage, had Busker Busker at no. 1 on the afternoon of October 31, with 16,976 votes. The band came in first in Gwangju, but in the other areas was pushed back by the other teams. MCs Kim Sung Ju and Park Young Rin mentioned that “perhaps it’s because vocalist Jang Bum June is from Gwangju, but Busker Busker seems to be the most popular in Gwangju.”

On the October 28 broadcast of Superstar K3, Busker Busker reinterpreted judge Yoon Jong Shin’s Makgulina in its own creative way. The members seemed to have overcome the problems they had in communicating with their drummer Brad, who is a foreigner, while bassist Kim Hyung Tae, who was always said he looked like he lacked confidence, also showed that he was enjoying the performance.

Ulala Session sang Lee Seung Chul’s On the West Sky from the film Blue Swallow. The members didn’t show off any fancy performances or dance moves, but they did deliver a stage with deep emotions delivered through their great vocal skills.

Two Months chose to perform Yoon Jong Shin’s Thinking about You in a performance where Do Dae Yoon’s guitar sound and Kim Ye Rim’s attractive voice came together in a tranquil stage. The performance was criticized for having no climax or any stand out moment, making it somewhat dull, but the acoustics helped make the stage more appealing.

Superstar K3 now only has just two live broadcasts left until the real winner is announced. Will Ulala Session win, like the poll’s results say, or will Two Months or Busker Busker manage to turn the tables around in the last minute?
