Jay Park to Cover Dance Songs For SIA
Singer/actor Jay Park will be performing in a special stage featuring hit songs by prominent old school dance singers.
The performance will take place in Korea’s largest style awards ceremony 2011 Style Icon Awards (SIA), to be held on November 3 at the CJ E&M Center in Seoul. Park will be performing various dance songs including Kim Sung Jae’s To Put It in Words, Yoo Seung Jun’s Passion and Clon’s Come Back.
A rep for SIA stated, “Park Jae Bum will not only perform a perfect revival of the best dances, but he will also reinterpret the stages in his own style. We’ve prepared a collaboration performance with surprise guests, and he will also be performing his new song Girlfriend for the first time on television.”
Park said, “I’m looking forward to performing in a stylish and large-scale awards ceremony. I will not only perform the dances of the best dancers, but I will also perform in a powerful performance with my own color.”
SIA, which is being held for the fourth time this year, is the only awards ceremony in Korea which awards celebs who′ve set style trends in the past year. Ten ‘Style Leaders’ will be given the Style Icon Award, and the grand prize ‘Style Icon of the Year’ will be awarded to the one most influential celeb in fashion.
The ceremony is hosted jointly by CJ E&M’s life style channels Onstyle, XTM, O’live and Storyon, and will be broadcast live through the four host channels along with tvN, Mnet and Internet TV Tving.
