Loyal Lee Joon Gi to Return from Army With Old Manager
Lee Joon Gi will stick it out with the manager who has been with the actor since his debut, upon his discharge, which is set for three months from now.
The actor’s manager, Jun Kyeong Su, said, “Lee Joon Gi will be discharged on February 16. Although he still has three months left in the army, the industry is very interested in him. He has been receiving offers to appear in a wide range of film and drama genres, from action and historical dramas to sports.”
Prior to his enlistment, Lee showed his unlimited potential in Hero, Iljimae, Time Between Dog and Wolf and My Girl. He boasts a particularly large fan base in Southeast Asia, and his hallyu star status is even recognized in the army.
He recently appeared in the Ministry of National Defense’s musical The Voyage of Life, which recently wrapped after a successful run, and Asian fans sent eight tons of rice to congratulate the actor.
Lee is currently serving in the Defense Media Agency, and he has been keeping fans posted on his whereabouts through his mini homepage.
His manager said, “Fans from 20 countries around the world, from Central and South America to Europe, said they would fly in on the day his is discharged for a special surprise event. Fans’ inquiries with regards to this have been flooding in. Lee Joon Gi is counting down to the day he will be able to stand before the fans with an improved image.
