KBS’ Immortal Song 2 will lose two of its members.

The show announced the departures of Super Junior’s Ryeowook as well as solo rookie artist Ailee from the singing show as the two will focus on their respective activities.

Super Junior’s Ryeowook recorded his final performance for the show on July 16 for the ‘Lee Jang Hee special’ and the episode will air on August 25.

A representative for SM Entertainment shared Ryeowook’s departure was inevitable due to Super Junior’s new round of promotions for its new track Spy off of its repackaged album. Ryeowook first joined the show in May and has since won two episodes of the show.

A representative for Ailee also confirmed her departure revealing the singer had recorded her last appearance on July 6 after joining the show in April.

Though Ailee will be leaving to focus on her upcoming new album, set to release in October, her agency added that her departure wasn’t a permanent one and that they anticipated her to make a return to the show at some point in the future.
