Baek Sung Hyun Cast in ‘Queen Insoo’
Baek Sung Hyun will be appearing in jTBC’s opening drama Queen Insoo.
Baek was previously received well for his hard-working honor student role Park Mu Yeol in KBS2’s White Christmas, and this time he will be continuing in his ‘smart’ ways by acting in the smart and warmhearted role of Do Won, General Soo Yang’s son.
The drama will center on the main character Queen Insoo, who weds General Soo Yang with a great ambition to become the Queen of Joseon. Conflicts will arise when Desposed Queen Yoon and Empress Jeong Hee start to go against Queen Insoo’s dreams. The piece will draw out realistically the six generations of Joseon’s dynasty, and will take a look at the nobleman-centered Joseon times through the eyes of the women.
Do Won is the son of General Soo Yang (Kim Young Ho) and Empress Jeong Hee (Kim Mi Suk), and will grow up to marry Queen Insoo (Chae Si Ra). Unlike his father, Do Won has a humane and sensitive personality, is well educated and becomes a role model for others as he has a profound and wise eye for looking at people and the world.
Baek Sung Hyun have a love line with Ham Eun Jung (T-ara), the young Insoo, and will be showing off the traditional drama acting he perfected with his previous traditional film Blades of Blood.
Queen Insoo is aiming for a December premiere.
