A rep from the actor’s agency said, “This is Kim Hyun Joong’s first try at an action genre, and in order to bring his character Baek Mir to life, he’s been taking time off of his breaks to review his scenes.”

The staff and his fellow actors have especially been showing their satisfaction, as he’s been enthusiastic about checking and rechecking every move in the action scenes and about practicing.

Through City Conquest, Kim Hyun Joong plans to transform from the flower boy he’s known to be into a manly figure and put on some splendid action scenes, peppered with touching moments.

City Conquest has finished filming in Japan, and is currently scheduling shoots to take place in other locations.
