Who still hasn’t showed their support for their favorite star?

There’s still about a week left until the final winners are announced, but fans on Mnet’s Idol Championship are still up and running, and the competition is getting fiercer by the day.

Global Mnet’s Idol Championships Still on Fire

Global Mnet has been hosting two sets of championships on its website, the Star Tracking Championship and the Ideal KPOP Idol Championship, since July 15.

The Star Tracking Championship awards medals to the stars with the most trackers, while the Ideal KPOP Idol Championship is a bit more personal, asking fans to choose their ideal celebrity in a star tournament that pitches star against star through multiple rounds. Medals are also awarded in this competition to the star that emerged triumphant as the ideal type for the most fans.

Global Mnet’s Idol Championships Still on Fire

The Star Tracking Championship has been showing a surprising (or not-so-surprising?) trend, as Kim Hyun Joong stands tall with the most followers in the gold medal spot.

Big Bang, B2ST, 2PM, TVXQ (DBSK) and Jang Keun Suk, known for having giant fanbases, have surprisingly been lagging behind. F(x) is the female star closest to the top at no. 5, but doesn’t even come close to the number of trackers for the top three, Kim Hyun Joong, Super Junior and FT Island. Girls’ Generation (SNSD) is barely hanging on to the top 10 at no. 10.

For the Ideal KPOP Idol Championship, Super Junior has been taking over the top five, with Donghae at first, Leeteuk at second and Heechul at fourth. The bronze medal is currently taken by MBLAQ’s Lee Joon, and FT Island’s Lee Hong Gi is scoring at no. 5.

As for females, f(x) again proves it has some great support behind it by setting Victoria at the top for the gold medal, while SNSD’s Yoona and Taeyeon, 2NE1’s Sandara Park and miss A’s Suzy follow.
