Tablo Releases MV for ′Bad′
While fans weren′t sure what kind of promotions Tablo would partake in for his first solo album, considering the fact that the once-scorned artist has been openly wary about re-entering the public realm, Tablo has released a music video for his first single, Bad, featuring Jinshil.
In the dark (both fig. and lit.) music video, Tablo appears, heavily tatted and studded up (taking advantage of the YG closet perhaps?), in an image that′s a sharp departure from his standard nerdcore-like style.
The focus though, is unsurprisingly on two other characters, who spend nearly the entire video engaging in some Chris Brown-Rihanna behavior.
Though many will be quick to assume that the video′s foreboding nature is indicative of Tablo′s dismal state, Epik High has consistently put out enigmatic, and equally bleak, music videos in the past. Nonetheless, the song was written and composed entirely by Tablo, and conveys the message that love can alter the kindest person into a bad person, making the sure-to-be-banned music video hauntingly appropriate.
Somehow we have a feeling that Tablo doesn′t really care whether the video is banned or not - and we′re also quite sure that his fans will still support him in any case.
Though he planned to stay away from all music shows, Tablo will be performing on SBS′s Inkigayo on October 30, as a thank you for all the love he′s been receiving for the album.
