[Video] ′Produce 101 Season 2′ Tops Music Charts with Concept Challenge Tracks

Mnet Produce 101 Season 2′s concept challenge tracks, which were released on June 3, have topped a variety of music charts.


As of June 4 at 1AM KST, track Never, which was performed by contestants Kim Jong Hyun, Lai Guan Lin, Lee Dae Hwi, Hwang Min Hyun, Ong Seong Woo, Kim Jae Hwan and Park Woo Jin, topped music charts including Melon, Mnet, Bugs, Genie, Soribada, Naver Music and Olleh. Additionally, the broadcast clips from Produce 101 Season 2′s 9th episode surpassed over 7 million views.

The 5 concept tracks began increasing in rank on the music charts as soon as they were released and ultimately, Never topped 7 music charts at number 1. Following concert tickets selling out last week, Produce 101 Season 2 is showing to be widely popular with their track sweeping the music charts as well.


During the broadcast of the concept challenge, viewers were unable to take their eyes off the highly anticipated performances as each group had their unique concepts. Trainee Samuel Kim, who was the center for Show Time, showed off his dance moves and led the group with his steady vocals. I Know You Know was led by Kwon Hyun Bin, who created a energy filled performance. The Open Up team touched the hearts of many fans and even received requests for an encore performance. Jung Se Woon led the Oh Little Girl team with his steady and smooth vocals. The final team, performing Never, far exceeded expectations and showed a powerful performance.


Meanwhile, the 3rd round of eliminations for Produce 101 Season 2 will air on June 9 at 11PM KST.
