′Idol School′ Begins Recruiting Potential Participants

Mnet, who was responsible for producing I.O.I from Produce 101 and Twice from Sixteen, has begun recruiting participants for their new girl group project Idol Group.

Idol Group began recruiting students to join their 11 week accelerated educational program for future girl group members. The school is set to begin in July and the application stage is currently open.

Idol School students will enrolled in a 11 week educational program before taking a final exam at the end of the program. The top students will debut as a girl group during the later half of 2017 upon graduation.

The founding theme of Idol School is, "Everyone who has the ability to become anything is pretty." Anyone who has the potential to be an asset to a girl group is eligible to apply. Therefore, dancing and singing are not requirements to apply for Idol School.

Participants accepted into Idol School will go through a customized educational program for idols, be advised on how to focus on their dreams, receiving training by top instructors in the industry and more!
