′A blast from the past for those in their 20s and their 30s.′

Cable channel tvN has been airing a new series, Reply 1997, and already fans are fawning over the cute love line between Yoon Jae (played by Seo In Guk) and Si Won (played by Jung Eun Ji from A Pink).

The first two episodes of Reply 1997, which aired on July 24, shows how Yoon Jae is starting to feel differently about his friend Si Won, and is getting confused beacuse of his changing emotions.

Viewers are also praising how realistically Seo In Guk has been portraying the ′tall, dark and handsome′ Gyeongsang-do boy Yoon Jae. In Korea, there is an understanding that men from the southeast region of South Korea are more stubborn, brooding, quiet and mysterious.

In the show, Yoon Jae has grown up with Si Won, and thought of her as his best friend - nothing more. But now that they are young adults, Yoon Jae realizes his feelings for Si Won are more than just platonic, ′brotherly′ love.

Viewers are now eagerly waiting for more of the Yoon Jae and Si Won couple, as last week′s episode ended with Yoon Jae kissing Si Won to confirm his feelings.

Viewers have had positive reactions to the bad-boy style Seo In Guk.

“His portrayal of a Gyeonsangdo boy are accurate and heartwarming.” “First love never ends well, how will it go for Yoon Jae?” “This is exactly what my high school life was like, I was really glad to see it.”

Reply 1997 airs every Tuesday at 11 p.m. In episode 3 and 4, viewers will be able to see the new character Hak Chan (played by Eun Ji Won).
