BLACKPINK to Hold Showcase and Release Music Videos

YG Entertainment′s first girl group in 7 years, BLACKPINK, will finally be unveiled and begin promotions after holding a showcase.


On August 8, YG Entertainment rose the expectations for BLACKPINK′s debut by releasing the poster for the group′s first single album Square One and debut countdown poster through their official blog.

BLACKPINK to Hold Showcase and Release Music Videos

BLACKPINK will release the music videos for new track Boombayah and Whistle during their showcase tonight and air the event LIVE through Naver V Live. Many are curious to see BLACKPINK in the flesh and hear their music as they have been selected as one of the top rookies of with the highest expectations of 2016.


Boombayah is an upbeat track that will cool down our summers while Whistle is a minimal hip hop track that is both dreamlike and sexy. BLACKPINK plans to show their various charm through these very different tracks.


BLACKPINK is a 4 member group that consists of Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa and Rosé. Their average age is 19 and the members have been training with YG anywhere between 4-6 years.


Meanwhile, BLACKPINK plans to drop the music videos for Whistle and Boombayah by 8PM KST tonight. Fans are looking forward to how group will carry out their promotions as they have been raising expectations for their debut.
