Big Bang′s T.O.P to Hold Charity Project with ′Sotheby′s′
Big Bang′s T.O.P will be the first Asian celebrity to hold a charity auction with world renown auctioneer Sotheby′s.
On October 3, T.O.P will hold a charity project with Sotheby′s titled #TTTOP in Hong Kong. Through the project, T.O.P will auction off pieces personally curated by him.
In regards to the project, T.O.P released a video through his personal Instagram on July 25 and details about the auction can be found through Sotheby′s official website.
T.O.P has shown interest in artwork in the past and has been preparing the project in secret with Sotheby′s for the past year. This project is especially special as T.O.P will be the first to collaborate with a young art collector in Hong Kong.
#TTTOP will be different from typical auctions as it will be in the form of a charity project. Sotheby′s plans to donate a portion of the proceeds and in addition, T.O.P will not be receiving any guarantees.
Through "The Asian Cultural Council," a portion of the proceeds will be donated to young talented artists who grew up in difficult environments.
T.O.P stated, "As a personal wish, I plan to continuously hold projects to provide safe environments for young Asian artists with a lot of talent, but are in difficult situations."
