The KPOP News app provides users around the world with fresh and interesting Korean entertainment and Korean culture news, and aims to keep users up to date with all the biggest and the latest that hallyu has to offer. Fans will be able to interact, in English, with up-to-the-minute K-Pop, K-Drama and K-Movie news, celebrity interviews, photos and even multimedia clips.

A ‘K-Celebs’ section will feature the latest celebrity interviews, and users will be able to easily share news topics through their service of choice, including Facebook and Twitter. In addition, users will be able to create their own ‘My-Celebs’ list, where they register their favorite celebrities and get specific updates.

CJ E&M Global Online Services Department’s chief Chris Chung stated, “KPOP News is an app targeted at international users in particular, and for this reason, we are pleased to have released it on the BlackBerry platform, as we know it is a favorite abroad.”

Chung added “CJ E&M already has future plans to develop a video-focused KPOP Video app and a celebrity-focused KPOP Stars app. We also want to release apps that have already been provided for other services onto the BlackBerry platform.”
