Lee Kwang Soo Emoticons Released on ′WeChat′

Actor Lee Kwang Soo will be the first Korean celebrity to release emoticons for China’s top messenger service.

On May 3, agency KINGKONG Entertainment stated, “Lee Kwang Soo is the first Korean celebrity to have produced emoticons for WeChat, owned by China’s top internet professionals, Tencent. They will be available for users.”

Lee Kwang Soo has gained popularity in Southeast Asia, including China, for his friendly and upbeat image in Korean dramas, movies and variety shows. He has especially established a presence in Asia, receiving a lot of love for his friendly and upbeat image and gaining the title of Asian Prince.

The emoticons of Lee Kwang Soo will be provided by Danal Entertainment and be available on global messenger service WeChat, which is China’s top messenger service with more than 650 million users.

Lee Kwang Soo Emoticons, which will be released on May 3 on WeChat, will include 24 emoticons with bright expressions and will show Lee Gwang Soo’s unique qualities. Expectations are high as the emoticons will provide users with a fun experience.

Danal Entertainment director, Park Gyu Yeon, stated, “Lee Gwang Soo is a Hallyu star receiving love from China, Thailand, Vietnam and all over Asia,” and “I expect that as much as Lee Gwang Soo’s emoticons are the first Korean celebrity emoticons on WeChat, it will gain huge popularity.”

Meanwhile, Lee Gwang Soo is currently loved for his roles in tvN drama Dear My Friends and KBS drama The Sound Of Your Heart.
