Moon Hee Jun and Tony An will be appearing on TV as H.O.T. for the first time in 10 years since its disbandment.

The two will cameo on the first episode of tvN’s Reply 1997, which will air on July 24.

Si Won (Jung Eun Ji), a big fan who dreams of marrying Tony An, will be going through with an elaborate plan she put together to meet Tony An in person.

In the scene, Tony An will dress up in the hip-hop style of the 90s to bring back memories.

The voice mail service that served as a means of communication between fans and stars back in the 90s will also be making a welcome comeback for the drama.

In the 90s, stars used voice mail to leave messages on how they were doing and what their next schedule would be when the Internet still wasn’t very widely used. H.O.T.′s and Sechs Kies’ voice mail boxes were the most popular in those days.

Tony An and Moon Hee Jun said after the shoot, “Memories keep coming back to us on how it was like back then. We decided to appear in hopes that it would be a special present for our fans, but it seems we were the ones that were on the receiving end during the shoot. We were full of so much emotion the whole time.”

Reply 1997 is set in the 1990s, when H.O.T. and Sechs Kies were all the rage. The stories of Si Won, a big H.O.T. fan, Yoon Je (Seo In Guk), who likes Si Won, Hak Chan (Eun Ji Won), the ‘erotic’ teenager, and Jun Hee (Hoya), the mystery guy, will unravel throughout the drama.

Before its first episode, Reply 1997 plans to air some behind-the-scenes videos and points to look forward to in a special ‘episode 0’ on July 23.

The episode will not only help viewers enjoy the upcoming drama more but also reveal some funny BTS footage of the actors.
