Seventeen Makes Waves in Japan Ahead of Album Release

Talented idol group Seventeen, which is also hailed a self-produced idol, is receiving a great popularity in and out of the country.

The group, which is ready for releasing its first official album LOVE&LETTER on April 25, has three separated units of hip hop, vocal and performance and it shows off unique synergy by putting all units in one. It also participated in producing, song writing, lyrics writing and making choreography by itself. Only after releasing first and second mini album, the group has a sizeable fandom.

The group announced its comeback with the official album LOVE&LETTER and received an enthusiastic attention from its fans. The pre-sale of its album has already reached 150,000 copies. Moreover, even though the group didn’t make its official debut in Japan, the two versions of its album ranked first and second on the Japanese online record shop such as Tower Record and Lochike HMV on April 19.

Particularly, it is very surprising outcome that the group ranked the Japanese music chart even before its actual debut and promotion in Japan. It makes people to expect their performance in and out of the country.

Moreover, on April 19, the group unveiled the preview highlight video and released the highlight medley of its ten new songs includes the title song You’re Pretty.

Meanwhile, Seventeen will drop its first official album LOVE&LETTER on April 25. The group will perform its comeback stage on MBC every1 Show! Champion on April 27.
