Jang Hyun Seung Officially Leaves Beast
Jang Hyun Seung, member of boy group Beast (Yoon Du Jun, Yong Jun Hyung, Yang Yo Seop, Jang Hyun Seung, Lee Gi Kwang, Son Dong Woon), has decided to leave the group to pursue a solo career.
Beast’s agency Cube Entertainment released an official statement on the afternoon of April 19th stating that “Beast member, Jang Hyung Seung, has left the group.”
Jang Hyung Seung has been receiving criticism from fans since last year after showing little interest during fan meetings and group events. Following the criticism, Jang Hyung Seung uploaded an apology message through the agency’s SNS as well as on the fan blog this past February.
But rumors of Jang Hyung Seung leaving the group arose after he was absent at the Cube Family Concert in Macau held in March. Although the agency denied these rumors at the time, in the end, Jang Hyung Seung has decided to leave the group.
The agency announced that the reason for the withdrawal is due to the personality differences between the 5 members. Cube Entertainment stated that “Jang Hyun Seung and the five members have been talking and consulting continually with the company about making a change to team activities due to differences in personality that began with different opinions on music. After long deliberation between all the members, it was agreed that the group would part company with Jang Hyun Seung and the team would be reorganized.”
After debuting in 2009, Beast received a lot of love from the public for their hit songs 12:30, Shock and On Rainy Days.
