iKON Reaches 120,000 in Album Sales in Japan

iKON is receiving great popularity by selling 120,000 albums in Japan.

A total of 120,000 albums, including the group’s Japanese repackage album WELCOME BACK - COMPLETE EDITION, which was released on March 30 and its debut album WELCOME BACK, which was released on January 13, 2015, was sold. The group is setting an exceptional record as a rookie artist.

Along with original tracks from its debut album, Anthem (Remix) and Japanese version of Dumb&Dumber, What′s Wrong?, I Miss You So Bad, Rhythm Ta (Remix) and unpublished song Just Go were added to the repackage album. Even though the album was repackaged, it topped the largest Japanese sound source Recochoku and iTunes after the album released. Also, the album ranked 4th in the Oricon daily album chart and proved its popularity.

Previously, the group’s Japanese debut album topped the Oricon daily album chart in January. It proved its great popularity by successfully completing its Japan arena tour in five cities, for 14 times of performance and drawing 146,000 audiences from February to March.

Meanwhile, iKON will hold its first Asia tour ‘iKONCERT 2016 [SHOWTIME] TOUR’ and increase the scale of its concert. The group will start its Asia tour at Taipei Arena in Taiwan on April 22 and it will continue its tour at Asiaworld-Expo, Arena in Hong Kong on May 7.
