2NE1′s CL Receives Mention in Teen Vogue
2NE1′s CL has received a mention in Teen Vogue ahead of her U.S. debut.
Teen Vogue published an article on their website, titled ′10 Reasons You Need to Know Korean Pop Icon CL," writing "There hasn’t been a Korean pop star to break in the U.S. since Psy, and CL wants to be what the world is talking about next."
The article mentions CL′s musical talent, rap skills, standout style and strong personality as reasons why the world needs to keep an eye on her.
The article also states, "There’s been a slow build happening for rapper CL. Stylish, confident and creative, the Korean star is aiming to go international with her rap and pop skills" and adds "She′s managed by music manager mogul Scooter Braun. You know, the dude whose clients include Justin Bieber and, up until recently, Ariana Grande. If the success of Justin and Ariana is any inclination of what Braun can do, CL is about to be on the ride of her life."
CL, who has been preparing for her U.S. debut with Scooter Braun, joined Diplo on his Mad Decent Block Party tour and released promotional track Hello Bitches, which went to number one on Spotify last year.
She is also a nominee on the 2016 Time 100 list along with Big Bang, earning a nomination for the second year in a row.
